As most people probably already realize, today is Friday the 13th, a date commonly associated with bad luck.

How are you?
Everything all right?
Like to hear from you.
Love to see you soon.
Obviously I miss you.

There is one person in the World Wide Web Circle of Friends Group who seems to always get left out of receiving any type of recognition. Yet, she is the first one to step up to the plate when things need done, or people call upon for help, advice, and moral support.

When I first met Pat MacMicken she was quite the quiet one. You know the one behind the scenes. I had no idea exactly what role she played within the WWWCOF, nor any idea all the web sites she had done. I must admit I never really paid any attention to the names of the authors in the Directory etc. Then one day I had some problem and was told to ask Pat for help. Well, I really didn't want to bother her, because I really didn't know how I'd be received since she never really said much to me. But had no choice because I really needed help in whatever it was. So I emailed her, and she was a real doll! (surprised me) Want to know what I really thought about her back then? I thought she was a real snob...... yeah I did really! (sorry Pat, I sure know better now)She solved my computer problem for me, and we began chatting about all kinds of things, so I actually got to know her better.

Then there was the 2006 Reunion in Fl. and heard she was having to wait in the Dulles Airport for what was it a 3-4 hour layover, which is only about an hour away from me, we were to meet up so we could meet in person, but as luck would have it, I got the dang Flu and couldn't make it.

We did however chat more and more on here, and became more than just friends, I adopted her as a Sister.

When Sharon was going through some really bad times a while back, and was pretty much MIA; We would discuss how worried we were not only bout her, but also the status of the WWWCOF. Pat had been contacted by others too, (like I said she was the one everyone went to for moral support) and the issue of where in the world is the newsletter? And how are we going to keep in contact, etc etc.

This was way before the Google group page ever came out.

Well, she really did not want to see Our Group fall apart, and not really knowing what Sharon would think about it, she took the Bull behind the Horns, asked her confidants if she was doing the right thing. (Which she was told yes, Sharon would appreciate this very much) She took on still another task. The Newsletter; (which by the way was not such an easy one if you know anything about doing Web pages.) She did it with Gusto, and Lots of love and hard work. She was the Glue that held our Group together in Sharon's absence. She made the newsletter, which was at the time Great into a real Masterpiece.

Pat, at that particular time was going through some major health issues too, which she never told anyone about at the time. Yet that did not stop her from her Love, Loyalty and dedication not only to the Group as a whole, but also to Sharon in keeping her DREAM ALIVE until she was able to get back on her feet again.

I know we have had some awesome Award Recipients over the past year, very deserving of the honor. But other than Sharon's Award, I think Pat being named Global Award Winner takes top Priority!

So, without further ado, once again I would very much like to announce this weeks Global Award Winner as

Pat MacMicken.

OK Pat, Sorry, you still have to make up the award and put your name on it, after all you are the one doing this newsletter!!!!!  You deserve this Award, and you have all our votes, and love to go along with it.

You also have all our Gratitude for keeping us afloat.

We LOVE YOU with all OUR HEARTS...................

Thank YOU for being you!!!!!! Thank You for caring so very much.

With much Love, Admiration and Appreciation

Your (Sis) Jami Erikson
